Soda can indeed makes us get fat. Says pediatrician Wayne Johnstone, He says that drinking soda, even diet soda, will make us get fat. "Nature intended for us to drink water; not shove glass after glass of sugar down our throat."

Diabetes or diobesity

>>Type 1
Usually develops over a few weeks and predominantly affects children and young adults. People with type 1 produce very little insulin and must manage their condition with insulin injections.

>>Type 2
Usually develops in people over 40, but increasingly starting at a younger age. Its onset is slow and many sufferers do not realise they have it, as symptoms do not appear for many years. Sufferers may feel tired but most people put this down to working too hard or getting older. Those with type 2 still produce insulin but either not enough or it doesn't work properly. They do not necessarily need to inject – they can often treat diabetes with diet and exercise, alone or with tablets.
